MSIMN Errors creating chaos in Outlook Express
While working with MS Outlook Express, you might usually come across many MSIMN error messages. Like,
“MSIMN caused an invalid page fault in module Msoe.dll”
“MSIMN caused an invalid page fault in module “unknown””
“MSIMN caused an invalid page fault in module Directdb.dll”
“MSIMN caused an exception C0000006h in module Directdb.dll”
Above error message appears when the user tries to open any of the email saved in Outlook Express Inbox. On occurrence of any one of the above messages, the data saved in the .dbx files becomes inaccessible.
Reason behind these MSIMN errors
The above error message appears when the Inbox.dbx file gets damaged or corrupted. Other main causes for this file damage are compaction, virus infection, anti-virus scanning, software failure, etc.
Solution for this
To resolve the above error message and to access the emails saved in the Inbox.dbx file, you are supposed to follow the given below steps:
-
Rename the logically damaged Inbox.dbx file and try to access the file in Outlook Express.
-
Delete the Inbox.dbx file and restore the file from an adequate backup.
If no backup is available, then Repair Outlook Express using Kernel for Outlook Express recovery software.
